In high school, if we fail a class, you have to pass it in order to get to the next section or next grade. In order to pass, the entire school year the teacher presents lessons that we have to retain and you are tested. You pass the test, you get to move on. You fail test, you have to take it again. Math was my weakest subject, for some reason I couldn’t get pass MATH, I had to retake the entire course and eventually got a new teacher. Now I would have to try harder and put in extra time to study the material to get the passing score. To my surprise I ended up passing the class with flying colors. This teacher made math more simple and easier to understand.
I consider LIFE as school and we are tested constantly. Although we aren’t graded by a physical teacher in life, I know and I believe God is my teacher. Our trials and tribulations test us everyday. We all want to pass and gain something out of life. How we prepare for those things and how we react to it we’d either pass or fail.
I can only speak of my experiences through this journey of LIFE. If I pray to God that I want more peace in my life. Best believe I will be tested on that. If I pray for more patience, my patience will be tested. Get the picture? In the past, there were certain situations took place that affected my peace or patience. It took me awhile to realize that I was tested and that I’ve failed. When it all clicked, I started to readjust how I responded to different circumstances that happened to. It was no joke, it was testing my character and my faith. My weaknesses brought me closer to seek help from the teacher.
So, once we open our mouths to ask God that we want more of something, the teacher will be present us with a test. If you want to succeed in that area, whatever it is, prepare yourselves. If you fail, don’t give up, take the test again. God has equipped us with the necessary tools to pass them. Just lean on him and he will guide us on how to pass them.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trail because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him -James 1:2 (NIV)
